Being a celebrant
A Little About Me...
Living in the New Forest with the sea on one side and the forest on the other, I don’t think I could find a better place to call home.
I spent my early career performing in the theatre and my love of music, literature and writing has continued throughout my life.
More recently, I have been working in the care industry with the elderly and with bereaved families, supporting them through life’s most difficult decisions. It was here that I found my interest in the work of the celebrant. So often I attended funerals where the life of the person who had died was not the focus of the occasion.
With research, I found that many people felt as I did. They wanted an opportunity to have a warm and meaningful funeral ceremony which truly reflected the life of their loved one.
As a civil celebrant, I am now creating services which tell a unique and personal story of the life that has been lived.
I hold an NOCN Diploma in Funeral Celebrancy and I am a member of the IoCF
